A member of Actors Equity Association, Eric Wheeler (he/him) is a forty year veteran of theatre in Northern California. He has performed everything from light opera to Shakespeare, and everywhere from Off-Broadway to regional tours. He has several world premieres under his belt and is active in film, radio, commercial, and video game production such as NBA2K15 and Mafia 3. His most recent roles(pre-pandemic) include Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol and Claudius in Hamlet at the Sacramento Theatre Company. This is his tenth year as a Respondent for Lenaea but competed, himself, for the first time way back in 1977. He didn't win.

Tori Johnson has always had a passion for creating spaces. Spaces that are bold, exciting, unique, open, inclusive, and connected. She started her journey being a part of amazing spaces as an actor at Guthrie’s BFA Actor Training Program and the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Education Program in London. Then, she found her love for creating inventive spaces for the actor to do their best work at the Northern California School of the Arts as Program Director where she continues to create spaces for actors, students, teachers, and other creators. Gabriel Montoya is an actor-director-producer-writer currently based in Los Angeles. Mr. Montoya came up on Sacramento stages such as The Show Below, Sacramento Theatre Company, and River Stage and is an alum of the B St. Theatre Acting Internship program. In the Bay Area, Mr. Montoya has performed for Magic Theatre, Berkeley Rep, and SF Playhouse, among others. Gabriel and his wife Robin Fontaine together made theatre history in 2015 by simultaneously premiering Ben Fisher's "Don't Be Evil” onstage and in virtual reality.

Michele Hillen-Noufer, M.Ed., AEA, SAG (she/her) is the Executive Director for Nor Cal School of the Arts. She is a member of Actors Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA and has a Masters degree in Education. Michele worked as a professional actor for over 25 years doing theatre, film, and television across the country and internationally. She has directed, taught, and choreographed professional theatre, as well as theatre for young people. Michele has a passion for helping young people achieve their goals in the performing arts as well as providing theatre arts education to schools including arts integration opportunities for students with learning differences. Michele is an arts integration specialist and keeps her skills current by teaching at NorCal School of the Arts, local elementary schools as well as providing workshops and professional development opportunities for conferences for Educators. She has been a member of the Sacramento State University’s Academic Talent Search faculty since 2012. For fifteen years, Michele grew STC School of the Arts and created several programs while training many young theatre makers, storytellers & amazing humans who will go on to make their mark in the Arts field and beyond. Michele is a founding Board Member for SARA, the Sacramento Alliance for Regional Arts whose mission is to advocate for the regional Arts Sector of the Sacramento area.

Julianna Hess (she/her) received a BA from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in Drama, Applied Theatre, and Education. While at RCSSD, she had the opportunity to teach with Adhyayan in India, intern at the American Shakespeare Centre, and train with Shakespeare’s Globe in directing. Since returning to California, Julianna has worked with Marin Shakespeare’s Social Justice team at various state prisons as a teaching artist and performer. Julianna is a teaching artist with B Street Theatre working across all aspects of outreach & education programming. When she is not teaching, Julianna can be found performing with Wildflower Women's Ensemble.

Maggie Upton (she/her) holds an MA in Theatre from CSU, Sacramento, and a BA in Theatre and Psychology from Sonoma State. She was the Managing Director at River Stage (Cosumnes River College), where she directed, acted, and taught theatre-related subjects. She has served on many local Boards of Directors, and served as Executive Director for several arts organizations, including Business Volunteers for the Arts and Harmony Arts, and was a member and Chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. Currently she is a member of the steering committee of the Playwright’s Collaborative, and has joined the Artist’s Collective. Her directing credits include Juno and the Paycock, Birmingham Blues, Time Stands Still at the California Stage complex; in various venues Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile; an Agatha Christie cycle (And Then There Were None, The Mousetrap, Witness for the Prosecution), Bus Stop; A Shayna Maidel, (which won the Elly Award for Best Overall Production, Drama); and Under Milk Wood, which she adapted for the stage. Maggie is a playwright, and has worked in film, most recently appearing in the short film Pipe Dream. Maggie is also an actor, appearing most recently in The Hot L Baltimore, The Crucible, and You Can’t Take It With You at Falcon’s Eye Theatre. SARTA awarded her a ‘Best Supporting Actor’ for her performance last year in Leading Ladies for Main Street Theatre Works, and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.

Alina Phelan (she/her) is an LA based actor and director. She graduated from CalArts with a BFA in theatre in '95 and has carved a path for herself doing what she loves.. telling stories. She has been working as an actress, acting coach and creative executive in the film industry for 25 years. Having been on both sides of the table, she can't wait to share her thoughts with the students of Lenaea.

With a career spanning over forty years Cheryl Watson (she/her) has acted and directed in hundreds of productions with area theatres and colleges. Ms. Watson recently retired from the classroom after teaching and directing for both St. Francis High School and American River College. Ms. Watson is an award winning director and in 2017 received a Lifetime Achievement Elly Award for her work as a director, actor and teacher. She was a member of the first Globe Education Academy in London sponsored by UC Davis and the Mondavi Center. Career highlights include performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She is excited to be a respondent for the first virtual Lenaea Festival.

Kat DeLapp is a proud alumni of both The Hartt School, where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre, and The City College of New York where she obtained her MS in Educational Theatre. Her most recent performances include Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins. Some of her favorite directing experiences include Rumors, Much Ado About Nothing, Urinetown, and The Pajama Game. As a high school drama teacher, Kat is passionate about creating an encouraging yet rigorous professional environment for emerging artists and she cannot wait to watch your magic at the festival.

Margaret Morneau (she/her) is a director, actor, producer and jack of all trades in the theater. Margaret has had a hand in running Resurrection Theatre in Sacramento for eleven years; running a community theater has given her an opportunity to expand her knowledge of theater as a business and as an art. Margaret graduated with her Master's degree in Directing from Sacramento State University. Some of her favorite roles on stage have been Billie in Born Yesterday, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Camille in The Guardians, an original play by Jayna Anderson in which Resurrection Theatre produced the world premiere production. A few directing favorites are Lanford Wilson's Balm in Gilead and Burn This!, Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph, and Sister Cities by Catherine Butterfield, she also has a deep love for everything Tennessee Williams. This year marks her 21st year at Lenaea High School Theater Festival.

Elise Hodge is the owner of EMH Productions and founder of The Artist’s Collective. Elise is dedicated to putting time and energy into the entertainment industry for those wishing to pursue acting, directing, producing and writing. Her companies provide a creative outlet, as well as facilitating networking opportunities to writers, directors and producers for theatre, TV and Film. This is the 10th year Elise has produced, directed, acted and written for the stage in Sacramento, establishing a sound stage at The Ooley Theatre for live streaming content. A native of Sacramento, Erin Renfree (she/her) has performed, directed and choreographed locally for the past 25 years. Most recently, she appeared in California Stage’s production of Dorothea Puente Tells All! Various stage roles include Mother Superior in Nunsense, Theda Blau in It Had To Be You, Lily in On the Twentieth Century, and Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She has developed, directed and choreographed fund-raising shows for several nonprofit organizations, and directed children’s theater for Davis Musical Theater Company. This is her 5th year as a Lenaea respondent and she is looking forward to meeting all the students!

Alysha Brady (she/her) is a British/American LAMDA trained Actor and Theatre Director /Producer. She’s worked both on and off stage with Theatre of NOTE and SkyPilot Theatre Company in Los Angeles. She had been Co-Directing The Fable Theatre Company's “Seussical” when the pandemic hit. During COVID she recorded her first Audible narration, Amber Fossey’s “Be Wild Be Free”, an audio play for Theatre of NOTE “The Ravages” and helped produce SkyPilot’s on-line “BLM” series. Dan Fagan (he/him) has performed with theaters in Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. He began acting under two mentors, Frank Condon of River Stage and Ed Claudio of the Actor’s Workshop. While living in LA, Dan studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Locally, Dan has performed with Sacramento Theatre Company, Capital Stage, and B Street Theater. Dan is also a playwright of three produced works: A Tiger Without Mercy, These Lonesome Roads, Honeymoon in Minot. He is a proud member of the Writer’s Room here in Sacramento.

Locally, Dan has performed with Sacramento Theatre Company, Capital Stage, and B Street Theater. Dan is also a playwright of three produced works: A Tiger Without Mercy, These Lonesome Roads, Honeymoon in Minot. He is a proud member of the Writer’s Room here in Sacramento.

A native of Sacramento, Erin Renfree (she/her) has performed, directed and choreographed locally for the past 25 years. Most recently, she appeared in California Stage’s production of Dorothea Puente Tells All! Various stage roles include Mother Superior in Nunsense, Theda Blau in It Had To Be You, Lily in On the Twentieth Century, and Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She has developed, directed and choreographed fund-raising shows for several nonprofit organizations, and directed children’s theater for Davis Musical Theater Company. This is her 5th year as a Lenaea respondent and she is looking forward to meeting all the students!

She had been Co-Directing The Fable Theatre Company's “Seussical” when the pandemic hit. During COVID she recorded her first Audible narration, Amber Fossey’s “Be Wild Be Free”, an audio play for Theatre of NOTE “The Ravages” and helped produce SkyPilot’s on-line “BLM” series. Julianna Hess (she/her) received a BA from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in Drama, Applied Theatre, and Education. While at RCSSD, she had the opportunity to teach with Adhyayan in India, intern at the American Shakespeare Centre, and train with Shakespeare’s Globe in directing. Since returning to California, Julianna has worked with Marin Shakespeare’s Social Justice team at various state prisons as a teaching artist and performer. Julianna is a teaching artist with B Street Theatre working across all aspects of outreach & education programming. Kat DeLapp is a proud alumni of both The Hartt School, where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre, and The City College of New York where she obtained her MS in Educational Theatre. Her most recent performances include Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins. Some of her favorite directing experiences include Rumors, Much Ado About Nothing, Urinetown, and The Pajama Game. As a high school drama teacher, Kat is passionate about creating an encouraging yet rigorous professional environment for emerging artists and she cannot wait to watch your magic at the festival.

Margaret Morneau (she/her) is a director, actor, producer and jack of all trades in the theater. Margaret has had a hand in running Resurrection Theatre in Sacramento for eleven years; running a community theater has given her an opportunity to expand her knowledge of theater as a business and as an art. Margaret graduated with her Master's degree in Directing from Sacramento State University. Some of her favorite roles on stage have been Billie in Born Yesterday, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Camille in The Guardians, an original play by Jayna Anderson in which Resurrection Theatre produced the world premiere production. A few directing favorites are Lanford Wilson's Balm in Gilead and Burn This!, Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph, and Sister Cities by Catherine Butterfield, she also has a deep love for everything Tennessee Williams. This year marks her 21st year at Lenaea High School Theater Festival.

With a career spanning over forty years Cheryl Watson (she/her) has acted and directed in hundreds of productions with area theatres and colleges. Ms. Watson recently retired from the classroom after teaching and directing for both St. Francis High School and American River College. Ms. Watson is an award winning director and in 2017 received a Lifetime Achievement Elly Award for her work as a director, actor and teacher. She was a member of the first Globe Education Academy in London sponsored by UC Davis and the Mondavi Center. Career highlights include performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She is excited to be a respondent for the first virtual Lenaea Festival.

Brittni Barger (she/her) is a member of the Acting Company of the successful B Street Theatre in Sacramento. Brittni has been in numerous productions there, from the touring company, to their Children’s Theatre to new works on the Mainstage. She has also appeared in numerous Northern California Regional productions, from Sacramento Theatre Company to Capital Stage. Her online success lies in content where she has hosted or been featured in several viral projects. Her online book review show nets thousands of views an episode while her most noticeable work — sketch videos with internet sensation SMOSH (22M subscribers) — has netted her several million views an episode. Brittni has had leading and supporting roles in several independent features and the series “Beyond Geek” which premiered on PBS and is currently available on Amazon Prime.

He has performed everything from light opera to Shakespeare, and everywhere from Off-Broadway to regional tours. He has several world premieres under his belt and is active in film, radio, commercial, and video game production such as NBA2K15 and Mafia 3. His most recent roles(pre-pandemic) include Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol and Claudius in Hamlet at the Sacramento Theatre Company. This is his tenth year as a Respondent for Lenaea but competed, himself, for the first time way back in 1977. He didn't win.

Gabriel Montoya is an actor-director-producer-writer currently based in Los Angeles. Mr. Montoya came up on Sacramento stages such as The Show Below, Sacramento Theatre Company, and River Stage and is an alum of the B St. Theatre Acting Internship program. In the Bay Area, Mr. Montoya has performed for Magic Theatre, Berkeley Rep, and SF Playhouse, among others. Gabriel and his wife Robin Fontaine together made theatre history in 2015 by simultaneously premiering Ben Fisher's "Don't Be Evil” onstage and in virtual reality.

Maggie Upton (she/her) holds an MA in Theatre from CSU, Sacramento, and a BA in Theatre and Psychology from Sonoma State. She was the Managing Director at River Stage (Cosumnes River College), where she directed, acted, and taught theatre-related subjects. She has served on many local Boards of Directors, and served as Executive Director for several arts organizations, including Business Volunteers for the Arts and Harmony Arts, and was a member and Chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. Currently she is a member of the steering committee of the Playwright’s Collaborative, and has joined the Artist’s Collective. Her directing credits include Juno and the Paycock, Birmingham Blues, Time Stands Still at the California Stage complex; in various venues Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile; an Agatha Christie cycle (And Then There Were None, The Mousetrap, Witness for the Prosecution), Bus Stop; A Shayna Maidel, (which won the Elly Award for Best Overall Production, Drama); and Under Milk Wood, which she adapted for the stage. Maggie is a playwright, and has worked in film, most recently appearing in the short film Pipe Dream. Ms. Watson recently retired from the classroom after teaching and directing for both St. Francis High School and American River College. Ms. Watson is an award winning director and in 2017 received a Lifetime Achievement Elly Award for her work as a director, actor and teacher. She was a member of the first Globe Education Academy in London sponsored by UC Davis and the Mondavi Center. Maggie Upton (she/her) holds an MA in Theatre from CSU, Sacramento, and a BA in Theatre and Psychology from Sonoma State. She was the Managing Director at River Stage (Cosumnes River College), where she directed, acted, and taught theatre-related subjects. She has served on many local Boards of Directors, and served as Executive Director for several arts organizations, including Business Volunteers for the Arts and Harmony Arts, and was a member and Chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. Currently she is a member of the steering committee of the Playwright’s Collaborative, and has joined the Artist’s Collective. Her directing credits include Juno and the Paycock, Birmingham Blues, Time Stands Still at the California Stage complex; in various venues Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile; an Agatha Christie cycle (And Then There Were None, The Mousetrap, Witness for the Prosecution), Bus Stop; A Shayna Maidel, (which won the Elly Award for Best Overall Production, Drama); and Under Milk Wood, which she adapted for the stage. Maggie is a playwright, and has worked in film, most recently appearing in the short film Pipe Dream. Maggie is also an actor, appearing most recently in The Hot L Baltimore, The Crucible, and You Can’t Take It With You at Falcon’s Eye Theatre. Margaret Morneau (she/her) is a director, actor, producer and jack of all trades in the theater. Margaret has had a hand in running Resurrection Theatre in Sacramento for eleven years; running a community theater has given her an opportunity to expand her knowledge of theater as a business and as an art. Margaret graduated with her Master's degree in Directing from Sacramento State University. Some of her favorite roles on stage have been Billie in Born Yesterday, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Camille in The Guardians, an original play by Jayna Anderson in which Resurrection Theatre produced the world premiere production. A few directing favorites are Lanford Wilson's Balm in Gilead and Burn This!, Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph, and Sister Cities by Catherine Butterfield, she also has a deep love for everything Tennessee Williams. This year marks her 21st year at Lenaea High School Theater Festival.

In this role, Hans provides leadership for 130,000+ students, theatre educators, and industry professionals in all 50 states and 13 countries around the world. Hans holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Sac State and has worked with companies like Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and was the Executive Director for the Lenaea High School Theatre Festival, prior to joining EdTA. A former member of Actor’s Equity Association (AEA), Hans was recently seen onstage as Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, and was the AD for the award-winning production of In the Heights at Broadway by the Bay in Redwood City, CA.

A former member of Actor’s Equity Association (AEA), Hans was recently seen onstage as Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, and was the AD for the award-winning production of In the Heights at Broadway by the Bay in Redwood City, CA.

Margaret Morneau (she/her) is a director, actor, producer and jack of all trades in the theater. Margaret has had a hand in running Resurrection Theatre in Sacramento for eleven years; running a community theater has given her an opportunity to expand her knowledge of theater as a business and as an art. Margaret graduated with her Master's degree in Directing from Sacramento State University. Some of her favorite roles on stage have been Billie in Born Yesterday, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Camille in The Guardians, an original play by Jayna Anderson in which Resurrection Theatre produced the world premiere production. A few directing favorites are Lanford Wilson's Balm in Gilead and Burn This!, Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph, and Sister Cities by Catherine Butterfield, she also has a deep love for everything Tennessee Williams. This year marks her 21st year at Lenaea High School Theater Festival.

She started her journey being a part of amazing spaces as an actor at Guthrie’s BFA Actor Training Program and the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Education Program in London. Then, she found her love for creating inventive spaces for the actor to do their best work at the Northern California School of the Arts as Program Director where she continues to create spaces for actors, students, teachers, and other creators. A native of Sacramento, Erin Renfree (she/her) has performed, directed and choreographed locally for the past 25 years. Most recently, she appeared in California Stage’s production of Dorothea Puente Tells All! Various stage roles include Mother Superior in Nunsense, Theda Blau in It Had To Be You, Lily in On the Twentieth Century, and Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She has developed, directed and choreographed fund-raising shows for several nonprofit organizations, and directed children’s theater for Davis Musical Theater Company. This is her 5th year as a Lenaea respondent and she is looking forward to meeting all the students!

Brittni Barger (she/her) is a member of the Acting Company of the successful B Street Theatre in Sacramento. Brittni has been in numerous productions there, from the touring company, to their Children’s Theatre to new works on the Mainstage. She has also appeared in numerous Northern California Regional productions, from Sacramento Theatre Company to Capital Stage. Her online success lies in content where she has hosted or been featured in several viral projects. Her online book review show nets thousands of views an episode while her most noticeable work — sketch videos with internet sensation SMOSH (22M subscribers) — has netted her several million views an episode. He has performed everything from light opera to Shakespeare, and everywhere from Off-Broadway to regional tours. He has several world premieres under his belt and is active in film, radio, commercial, and video game production such as NBA2K15 and Mafia 3. His most recent roles(pre-pandemic) include Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol and Claudius in Hamlet at the Sacramento Theatre Company. This is his tenth year as a Respondent for Lenaea but competed, himself, for the first time way back in 1977. He didn't win.

He began acting under two mentors, Frank Condon of River Stage and Ed Claudio of the Actor’s Workshop. While living in LA, Dan studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Locally, Dan has performed with Sacramento Theatre Company, Capital Stage, and B Street Theater. Dan is also a playwright of three produced works: A Tiger Without Mercy, These Lonesome Roads, Honeymoon in Minot. He is a proud member of the Writer’s Room here in Sacramento.

Michele Hillen-Noufer, M.Ed., AEA, SAG (she/her) is the Executive Director for Nor Cal School of the Arts. She is a member of Actors Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA and has a Masters degree in Education. Michele worked as a professional actor for over 25 years doing theatre, film, and television across the country and internationally. She has directed, taught, and choreographed professional theatre, as well as theatre for young people. Michele has a passion for helping young people achieve their goals in the performing arts as well as providing theatre arts education to schools including arts integration opportunities for students with learning differences. Michele is an arts integration specialist and keeps her skills current by teaching at NorCal School of the Arts, local elementary schools as well as providing workshops and professional development opportunities for conferences for Educators. She has been a member of the Sacramento State University’s Academic Talent Search faculty since 2012. For fifteen years, Michele grew STC School of the Arts and created several programs while training many young theatre makers, storytellers & amazing humans who will go on to make their mark in the Arts field and beyond. Michele is a founding Board Member for SARA, the Sacramento Alliance for Regional Arts whose mission is to advocate for the regional Arts Sector of the Sacramento area.

With a career spanning over forty years Cheryl Watson (she/her) has acted and directed in hundreds of productions with area theatres and colleges. Ms. Watson recently retired from the classroom after teaching and directing for both St. Francis High School and American River College. Ms. Watson is an award winning director and in 2017 received a Lifetime Achievement Elly Award for her work as a director, actor and teacher. She was a member of the first Globe Education Academy in London sponsored by UC Davis and the Mondavi Center. Career highlights include performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She is excited to be a respondent for the first virtual Lenaea Festival.

Dan Fagan (he/him) has performed with theaters in Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. He began acting under two mentors, Frank Condon of River Stage and Ed Claudio of the Actor’s Workshop. While living in LA, Dan studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Locally, Dan has performed with Sacramento Theatre Company, Capital Stage, and B Street Theater. Dan is also a playwright of three produced works: A Tiger Without Mercy, These Lonesome Roads, Honeymoon in Minot. He is a proud member of the Writer’s Room here in Sacramento.

Michele Hillen-Noufer, M.Ed., AEA, SAG (she/her) is the Executive Director for Nor Cal School of the Arts. She is a member of Actors Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA and has a Masters degree in Education. Michele worked as a professional actor for over 25 years doing theatre, film, and television across the country and internationally. She has directed, taught, and choreographed professional theatre, as well as theatre for young people. Michele has a passion for helping young people achieve their goals in the performing arts as well as providing theatre arts education to schools including arts integration opportunities for students with learning differences. Michele is an arts integration specialist and keeps her skills current by teaching at NorCal School of the Arts, local elementary schools as well as providing workshops and professional development opportunities for conferences for Educators. She has been a member of the Sacramento State University’s Academic Talent Search faculty since 2012. For fifteen years, Michele grew STC School of the Arts and created several programs while training many young theatre makers, storytellers & amazing humans who will go on to make their mark in the Arts field and beyond. Michele is a founding Board Member for SARA, the Sacramento Alliance for Regional Arts whose mission is to advocate for the regional Arts Sector of the Sacramento area.

Brittni Barger (she/her) is a member of the Acting Company of the successful B Street Theatre in Sacramento. Brittni has been in numerous productions there, from the touring company, to their Children’s Theatre to new works on the Mainstage. She has also appeared in numerous Northern California Regional productions, from Sacramento Theatre Company to Capital Stage. Her online success lies in content where she has hosted or been featured in several viral projects. Her online book review show nets thousands of views an episode while her most noticeable work — sketch videos with internet sensation SMOSH (22M subscribers) — has netted her several million views an episode. Brittni has had leading and supporting roles in several independent features and the series “Beyond Geek” which premiered on PBS and is currently available on Amazon Prime.

A member of Actors Equity Association, Eric Wheeler (he/him) is a forty year veteran of theatre in Northern California. He has performed everything from light opera to Shakespeare, and everywhere from Off-Broadway to regional tours. He has several world premieres under his belt and is active in film, radio, commercial, and video game production such as NBA2K15 and Mafia 3. His most recent roles(pre-pandemic) include Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol and Claudius in Hamlet at the Sacramento Theatre Company. This is his tenth year as a Respondent for Lenaea but competed, himself, for the first time way back in 1977. He didn't win.

Alysha Brady (she/her) is a British/American LAMDA trained Actor and Theatre Director /Producer. She’s worked both on and off stage with Theatre of NOTE and SkyPilot Theatre Company in Los Angeles. She had been Co-Directing The Fable Theatre Company's “Seussical” when the pandemic hit. During COVID she recorded her first Audible narration, Amber Fossey’s “Be Wild Be Free”, an audio play for Theatre of NOTE “The Ravages” and helped produce SkyPilot’s on-line “BLM” series. With a career spanning over forty years Cheryl Watson (she/her) has acted and directed in hundreds of productions with area theatres and colleges. Ms. Watson recently retired from the classroom after teaching and directing for both St. Francis High School and American River College. Ms. Watson is an award winning director and in 2017 received a Lifetime Achievement Elly Award for her work as a director, actor and teacher. She was a member of the first Globe Education Academy in London sponsored by UC Davis and the Mondavi Center. Career highlights include performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She is excited to be a respondent for the first virtual Lenaea Festival.

Kat DeLapp is a proud alumni of both The Hartt School, where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre, and The City College of New York where she obtained her MS in Educational Theatre. Her most recent performances include Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins. Some of her favorite directing experiences include Rumors, Much Ado About Nothing, Urinetown, and The Pajama Game. As a high school drama teacher, Kat is passionate about creating an encouraging yet rigorous professional environment for emerging artists and she cannot wait to watch your magic at the festival.
